Talent Show Entry Form

1. Only amateur Country & Western singing or instrumental performances will be allowed.
2. For the purposes of this Talent Show, an "amateur" is defined as a person who engages in music for pleasure, instead of for substantial financial benefit or professional reasons.
3. The competition is open to either individual or groups.
4. Must by 13 years of age or older to participate. Family performance groups may be accepted; it will be at the discretion of the organizer of this event.
5. Pre-registration is required by July 1st to the contact listed above. Entire show is limited to twelve (12) performances, so enter soon!
6. Registration will include the completion of an "Entry and Waiver Release Form". These forms are available from the contact person listed above or can be found on the Lansdowne Fair website www.lansdownefair.ca under the tab "Entry Forms".
7. No entry fee is required.
8. Acts will be allotted no more than five (5) minutes to perform, and penalized one point for every ten (10) seconds in excess. Setup time between acts is limited to five (5) minutes.
9. No profanity or vulgar lyrics or performances – this is a family show. In addition, no alcohol, tobacco or drug advertisements on any clothing. The Contact person has the right to terminate inappropriate performances.
10. Monitors, speakers and up to a maximum of five (5) microphones will be provided. You must provide your own CD music, instruments, props, keyboards, amplifiers for guitars etc.
11. Special performance time requests are not accepted.
12. Participation in this event indicates approval to use any photo or video image taken during the event in future literature by the Lansdowne Agricultural Society.
13. The Lansdowne Agricultural Society is not responsible for lost, stolen or broken items. Lost and found items will not be mailed. Participants can check with the office of the Lansdowne Fair to see if items have been turned in.
14. The decisions of the judges are final and represent their personal opinions, not necessarily those of the Lansdowne Agricultural Society.
15. Judges' scores are based on Overall Performance (1 - 20 points), Audience Response (1 - 10 points), Stage Appearance (1 - 10 points), Originality (1 – 10 points) and Personality (1 – 10 points) for a maximum possible 60 points less any penalty points for time over the 5 minute limit.
16. Judges will select the top 5 scores.
17. Payouts will be available at the Pavilion immediately following the announcement of the winners.

LAS Meetings

The Lansdowne Agricultural Society meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm; unless otherwise advertised.

The Junior Fairboard meets the last Tuesday of the month at 7pm.
