Livestock Exhibitors

1. All livestock exhibitors must have a show ring number. These will be assigned the day of the show.

2. Exhibitors, 18 years of age and older, are required to pay a $5 membership fee.

3. Membership fees do not warrant free admission to the fair. This fee allows members to vote at fairboard meetings if they are 18 years of age and older, a member for at least a year and a member in good standing.

4. A fully completed entry form must be submitted to the Show Committee. Prize money will not be paid unless the entry is listed on the Entry Form. Any changes or substitutions must be made through the Livestock Show Contact. Prize money of less than $1 will not be paid.

5. Exhibitors in the Heavy Horse & the Miniature Horse Shows must show proof of a minimum of one million dollars liability insurance.

6. Exhibitors in the Western Horse Show must show proof of liability insurance. The name of the Insurance Company and the policy number must be written onthe Entry Form. Those 18 years of age and under must include their age on the Entry Form and include a parent or guardian’s signature.

7. In the absence of competition in any class, or if the stock exhibited are of inferior quality, the judge will exercise discretion as to whether they will award first, second, or third etc. All decisions of the judges are final.

8. In case of insufficient funds due to weather or other conditions, the Society reserves the right to pay only a percentage of the prize money awarded for exhibits.

9. Prize money may not be paid for at least one month to give the Directors time to settle any disputes which may arise and sanction payment for exhibits.

10. Protests must be made in writing by noon Monday following the fair. Reasons for the protest must be clearly stated and accompanied by a deposit of $25 which shall be forfeited if the protest is not substantiated.

11. Any exhibitor or attendant, who is guilty of creating a disturbance, whether openly criticizing the judge or using obscene language to any judge or officer, shall forfeit the right to any award and may be suspended from exhibiting.

12. The Society will not be responsible for any accidents or loss of property at the Fair.

13. The Directors insist that the foregoing rules be strictly adhered to.

14. The Lansdowne Agricultural Society reserves the right to interpret its own rules and regulations and also has the right to amend or change these rules in any way.

LAS Meetings

The Lansdowne Agricultural Society meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm; unless otherwise advertised.

The Junior Fairboard meets the last Tuesday of the month at 7pm.
