Truck, Tractor & ATV Pulls

RULES:
- Our objective is to make pulling FAIR and FUN for EVERYONE. Safety ALWAYS comes first and should be #1 for
everyone.
- All participants will weigh into their class and remain in the staging area and be ready to hook.
- Leaving the area will require you to reweigh. Spot weighs are always present.
- Unsportsmanlike behaviour will NOT be tolerated and will result in disqualification and you may be asked to leave the grounds. 
 

RULES FOR TRUCKS

TRUCKS CLASSES:
1/2 ton Class -- weight up to and including 6000lb
3/4 ton GAS Class -- weight up to and including 7000lb
3/4 ton DIESEL Class -- weight up to and including 8000lb
One TON class - weight up to and including 10,000lb
OPEN Class - Diesel and Gas
Note: Boat maxs out at 320 feet.
 
ALL PARTICIPATES WILL WEIGH INTO THEIR CLASS AND REMAIN IN STAGING AREA AND BE READY TO HOOK.
LEAVING AREA WILL REQUIRE YOU TO REWEIGH. SPOT WEIGHS ARE ALWAYS PRESENT.
 
GENERAL RULES FOR TRUCKS
1) All pullers must have a valid drivers license.
2) No restriction on hitch height.
3) All pullers must have clevis, pintle ring or a Reese hitch to which a receiver and clevis will be supplied.
4) Absolutely no pulling from the bumper. 
5) Any weights or parts falling from truck during the pull will result in disqualification. 
6) All weight must be secured and no weights will be allowed in the cab.
7) Driver must wear seat belt and be in complete control at all times and follow the instructions of track officials.
8) Safety is ALWAYS an issue. Any unsafe acts which include but not limited to being impaired by drugs, alcohol and/or weaving down track will not be tolerated. Unsafe acts will result in brakes applied at the operator’s discretion.
9) A "jerk" start on the sled will result in immediate brakes applied and you will be disqualified.
10) Profanity directed at and/or arguing with officials will result in immediate disqualification from the event.
11) No passengers allowed in truck during pull.
12) Weight master, judges and flagmen decisions are final.
13) Winner of the class ONLY can move up to the next class.
14) Trucks must be in neutral while being hooked and unhooked.
15) The test puller, first to register for the class, has the option of another pull. The driver must tell the official of their decision before leaving the track.
16) Unsportsmanlike behaviour will NOT be tolerated and will result in disqualification and you may be asked to leave the grounds.
 

RULES FOR TRACTORS
 
Our objective is to make pulling FAIR and FUN for EVERYONE! Safety is ALWAYS and should be #1 for everyone
 
Tractors are broken down into 3 classes: Antique, Farmstock, Modified
 
ANTIQUE: 3500, 4500, 5500
1960 and older, original complete drawbar not to exceed 20 inches off ground level, tractor not altered in any way(ie. original air cleaner and exhaust system)
Antiques are limited to 5mph, tractors exceeding 5mph will be automatically bumped to farm stock class
 
FARM STOCK: 3500, 4500, 5500, 6500, 7500, 8500, 10,500, 12,500
Tractor has original motor, any year & may have motor upgrades, hitch is not to exceed 20" off ground level
 
MODIFIED: 4500, 5500, 6500, 7500, 8500 after 8500 modifieds will pull as farm stock for 10,500 and 12,500
Tractor maybe antique or farm stock any year, motor or horsepower, Hitch may not exceed 20 " from ground level

2) No pulling from 3 point hitch arms.
3) In no case will weight behind rear axle be allowed.
4) All tractors must have engine throttle controlled only by the manufacturer's original throttle linkage.
5) All tractors must have fenders.
6) Drivers must remain seated during the pull, be in complete control at all times and follow the instructions of track officials.
7) Safety is ALWAYS an issue. Any unsafe acts which include but not limited to being impaired by drugs, alcohol and/or weaving down track will not be tolerated. Unsafe acts will result in brakes applied at the operator’s discretion.
8) A "jerk" start on the sled will result in immediate brakes applied and you will be disqualified.
9) Weightmaster, judges and flagmen decisions are final.
10) Any weights or parts falling from tractor during the pull will result in disqualification.
11) Officials reserved the right to reweigh.
12) Front wheels of tractor lifting more than 36” off the ground will result in disqualification.
13) Tractors must be in neutral while being hooked and unhooked.
14) The test puller,first to register for the class, has the option of another pull.The driver must tell the official of their decision before leaving the track.
15) Unsportsmanlike behaviour will NOT be tolerated and will result in disqualification and you may be asked to leave the grounds.
16) The owner of the tractor is solely responsible for any damage to the vehicle and will not hold the organizers or property owner liable for any damages.

RULES FOR Four Wheelers

Classes: 300cc, 400cc, 500cc, 600cc, 700cc, 800cc and open

Rules:
1. Competitors must be 18 years of age.
2. All four wheelers must remain parked in designated area except when pulling.
3. No four wheelers to be left running without an operator on the seat
4. No extra ballast allowed – added to the vehicle
5. Pull vehicle must be operated in a safe manner at all times while on the grounds
6. Loss of any piece of equipment off the four wheeler is grounds for disqualification
7. No dual wheels allowed
8. No passengers at any time.
9. One driver per four wheeler per class.
10. Helmets must be worn by all competitors and chin strap must be securely fastened
11. All four wheelers must have working brakes.
12. All competitors must remain in staging area and be ready to pull.
13. All four wheelers must have stock hitch and at stock height. No chain hitches. Hitches must be rigid in all directions.
14. No helpers allowed on track during pull.
15. Driver must obey flag people. Track official's decision is final.
16. Four wheelers must start with a tight hitch, no jerk starts.
17. Four wheeler and sled must remain in boundaries during pull.
18. Competitors will pull in order of registration of their class and test puller has the option to pull again however must notify track official before unhooking.
19. Winner of the class can move up to the next class.
20. Any forward movement of the sled is considered measurable.
21. Entries close at the start of the class.
22. All competitors must remain seated during the pull, be in complete control of their four wheeler at all times and follow the instructions of track officials.
23. Pull is over when forward motion has ended, driver must stop immediately upon signal of official.
24. Safety is ALWAYS an issue. Any unsafe acts which include but not limited to being impaired by drugs or alcohol will not be tolerated.
25. Pull officials decision is final.
26. Unsportsmanlike behaviour will NOT be tolerated and will result in disqualification and you may be asked to leave the grounds.

LAS Meetings

The Lansdowne Agricultural Society meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm; unless otherwise advertised.
