PRIZES: Classes 1 & 2: 1st to 3rd - Medals

RULES:

  • -    This show is open to all 4-H families of any age.
  •  All breeds of rabbits are welcome, but rabbits must be a minimum of 4 months of age and outfitted in an ‘H’ style harness.
  • -   The rabbit and participant safety are of utmost importance.
  • -    Handlers may not kick, hit, yell, or otherwise abuse their rabbit. Handlers may be disqualified at the judge’s discretion if this type of behavior occurs.
  • -    Handlers must wear safe footwear (e.g. running shoes, not flip flops) and rabbits must be outfitted in “H” style harnesses in order to compete.
  • -    Rabbits must be a minimum of 4 months of age to compete. There are no breed restrictions and no maximum age.
  • -    Rabbits will compete in a “straight” course of 6 jumps and will be allowed 2 attempts. Each will be timed and scored and the 2 scores will be added together for a final score.
  • -    1 fault will be received for each jump that is knocked down.
  • -    If a rabbit refuses a jump, the handler is permitted to lift the rabbit over the jump and continue, however 1 fault will be received each time a handler has to lift their rabbit over the jump.
  • -    In the event of a tie, the rabbit with the lowest faults will win.
  • -    Rabbits will be allowed 1 minute to clear the high jump at each rail level. The can jump from either direction.

The Lansdowne Agricultural Society meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm; unless otherwise advertised.

The Junior Fairboard meets the last Tuesday of the month at 7pm.
